Meeting your driver at Marco Polo

Venice has no roads beyond Piazzale Roma. The car takes you to Piazzale Roma, where the road into Venice ends; from there the city is on foot or on the water. Venice is a city of bridges and steps, so travel with luggage you can handle yourself. Before you leave home, ask your hotel how to reach it from Piazzale Roma, and put the hotel name in the booking notes so the driver knows your plans. On arrival the driver unloads your bags at the drop-off point and you walk into the city. The way back starts from the same place, at the time you choose.
VeniceMestre, Tronchetto and the mainland
Not every Venice stay is in the historic centre. Many travellers choose a hotel in Mestre, on the mainland, about 11 km from the airport, about 20 minutes: there the car stops right at your hotel. Tronchetto, the car park island next to Piazzale Roma, is about 16 km away and is the other place where the road ends. Type the address into the form and the fixed price per vehicle for it appears straight away. If the beach comes after Venice, the driver takes you to your hotel in Jesolo, Cavallino or Caorle, at a fixed price too.

The service runs 24 hours a day, every day of the year, on booking: a six o'clock departure or a midnight landing is fine. Book online at least one day ahead; for anything sooner, call. For your flight home the driver meets you at Piazzale Roma at a point agreed beforehand, or at your hotel in Mestre.
